Bread rolls with black seeds


Easy bread recipe with healthy black nigella seeds.

  • 4 cups of plain flour (or mix of 2 cups of plain and 2 cups of wholemeal)
  • 1 packet (7 g) fast action yeast
  • 3 tsps salt
  • 3 tbsps sugar
  • 1-2 tbsps vegetable or other oil
  • 2 cups of warm water

ONE: In a stand mixer bowl add all flour, yeast, salt, sugar, seeds. Mix well.

TWO: Pour in some oil and warm water (to get it right I do mix 1 1/2  cup of cold and 1/2 boiling water).

THREE: Attach dough hook and knead everything 10-15 minutes until combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl if needed.

FOUR: Turn out the dough on floured surface and knead with hands for few minutes. 

FIVE: Form 16 nice round rolls, place them on floured surface and leave for 10-15 minutes to rest.

SIX: Then prepare your baking sheets, take each roll and pressing slightly put them on baking sheets. 

SEVEN: Cover once again with clean towel and leave to rise for 1 hour.

EIGHT: Pre-heat the oven for 15 minutes before baking, them put in hot oven and bake for 30 minutes 
until nice and golden.

NINE: Remove from oven and leave to cool.
